Endotronix, a growing medtech company located in Lisle, IL just outside Chicago, is advancing the treatment of heart failure (HF) with proactive data-driven solutions that improve the quality of life for patients and clinicians. The company’s platform streamlines care for patients with chronic heart failure. It is comprised of an intuitive patient management system and a wireless, implantable sensor to manage HF patients’ pulmonary artery pressure, a leading indicator for early detection of worsening heart failure. The comprehensive solution overcomes inefficiencies in managing these complex patients and extends clinical care into the home.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an engineering background in a highly technical field. A systems engineer is a key member of the product development team and will work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary functions to continually improve product performance and achieve a system design that meets all customer, performance, and cost requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work on design projects with R&D engineers to ensure that the system and components meet their product and marketing requirements
  • Generate requirement specifications
  • Write functional test plans and protocols
  • Execute design verification and design validation testing
  • Write clear and concise test reports
  • Generate system level and component level risk documents (design FMEAs, use FMEAs, and hazard analysis)
  • Evaluate design changes for impact on verification activities
  • Evaluate industry standards to determine required testing and compliance (e.g. IEC 60601, ISO 14708)
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving for field issues
  • Assist other areas of the company as needed


Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in engineering preferred with product development experience in a highly technical field such as medical devices, electronics, aerospace, etc
  • Experience with RF electronics is desired
  • Verifying and validating designs in a multi-disciplinary technical field
  • Proficient in writing requirements and technical reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in an FDA regulated industry with medical device products desired
  • Detail oriented, organized, and efficient
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile to assure project success
